Notes for Clifford William Le SAUVAGE
Also known as Cliff. Sauvage also known as Le Sauvage.
Clifford (Le) Sauvage was great-nephew of William Nicolle who travelled to South Australia in 1854.
Cliff Le Sauvage is in the uniform of the RAMC (Royal Army Medical Corps) worn during WWI. It looks like he is a Private.
I stumbled upon your family information while searching for my
grandfather Clifford Le Sauvage. Although he died around 1937,
possibly as the late effects of being gassed in WW1, I recognize him,
and especially my grandmother who was born Ann or Annie Harding in the
photo with him and two of their children, the older girl being my aunt
Marjorie and the younger male, one of my uncles William, Clifford, my
father James Robert, or Frank. They moved to Canada at some point
when my aunt was very young (I believe around 2 years old so this
photo would have been taken in Canada) and I believe all the boys were
born in Canada.
My grandfather Clifford was a professional photographer and X ray technician.
All the best to you and your family. Please keep in touch.
