NICOLLE—SCHOBER.— On the 24th December,
by the Rev. S. Mead, M.A., LL.B., in the Flinders
street Baptist Church, by licence, John, eldest son
of William Nicolle, of Kangarilla, to Augusta
Emma, eldest daughter of John Carl Schober, of
Wardlaw Vale.
Hawthorndene parts were previously known as Wardlaw Vale, Blackwood Estate and Eastview.
Named after the Hawthorn bushes growing along the Minnow Creek, or possibly the Hawthorn Maze in the Belair National park (the oldest such maze in the country).
